Totalkredit Cup

Sunday, 8 January 2012

5,000 spectators in a sold-out NRGi Arena in Aarhus gave the Danish men’s national handball team terrific support when Denmark defeated Iceland in the final match of the Totalkredit Cup. This result clinched the aggregate victory for Denmark in a tournament which also included the participation of Poland and Slovenia.

The men’s national team had chosen Aarhus as its base for a 2-week training camp, before leaving for the European Championship in Serbia.

When Aarhus saw the men’s national team off to the European Championship in 2008 following a victory over the then German World Champions, Denmark returned victorious as European champions!
