2004 European Latin Championship
3,000 spectators enjoyed watching world-class Latin dance at the 2004 European Championships in April at the Atletion Arena.
64 couples from more than 30 nations competed in the championships, which was won by a narrow margin by the reigning Latin world champions Formica and Nikiforova of Germany.
And to the immense joy of the highly enthusiastic crowd, the silver and bronze medals were won by the local favourites, Kongsdal/Franova and Stokkebroe/Juul.
Both the dancers and the internationals leaders expressed delight with the execution of the event.
Aarhus will have a high profile indeed when it comes to appointing the venue for the World Latin Championships in 2006!
